Sybil Ege, the founder of Clear Guide Consulting, has a long and
varied career in the corporate world, franchising, and small
business. This diverse perspective gives her a unique insight.
Small businesses need to mix the characteristics of big business
organization, franchise procedural orientation, and small
business agility and market focus in order to thrive.
Sybil began her 30+ year IT career
as a mainframe programmer when the industry was very new. Over
time, she moved into management and oversaw the development of
large complex, mission critical systems. Her successes made her
part of the senior management team wherever she worked.
Most recently, she has been a
consultant and franchisee with The Entrepreneur’s Source (TES)
in Elburn, IL, from 2002 through 2007. As a TES consultant, she
specialized in franchising opportunities, helping people to
become a franchisee in the opportunity of their choice or to
expand their business by becoming a franchisor.

During her TES experience, she
became extremely familiar with DISC and PIAV, two significant
assessment instruments that illuminate an individual’s
behavioral and motivational patterns. She found these
assessment tools vital in helping her to quickly and accurately
assess vital characteristics about people with whom she
interacts, giving her an edge in sales and networking
situations.
In late 2006, Sybil launched Clear
Guide Consulting, a company devoted to helping small businesses
understand the steps they need to take to grow from “surviving
to thriving.” Sybil’s latest service offering involves customer
acquisition and retention services for small businesses. With
her network of mature and experienced callers, she creates and
delivers intelligent marketing communication campaigns for small
businesses to stimulate growth and build customer loyalty.
Sybil also co-hosted a weekly
radio talk show called "Livin' the Dream" for two years,
beginning in February 2006. The hour broadcast focused on
issues related to getting into business as well as improving an
existing business’s outlook and operation. To listen to
